The JBL Control 440CS/T-U is a professional Premium Coverage 8-inch in-ceiling subwoofer designed to provide powerful, low-distortion bass reinforcement for commercial audio installations. Part of JBL’s Control 400 Premium Coverage Series, this ceiling-mounted subwoofer combines a high-performance 8-inch driver, built-in passive crossover, integrated enclosure, and flexible transformer operation to create a complete subwoofer-satellite audio solution.
Featuring a 200 mm (8-inch) woofer with SBR surround, the Control 440CS/T-U delivers deep, smooth, and controlled low-frequency performance. The high-excursion driver is engineered to enhance music playback by adding impactful bass response while maintaining low distortion and consistent performance in professional installed sound environments.
With 100W continuous pink noise power handling and 150W continuous program power capacity, the subwoofer provides reliable low-frequency output for demanding commercial applications. Its extended 32 Hz–300 Hz frequency range allows it to reproduce powerful bass content while integrating smoothly with compatible JBL ceiling satellite speakers.
The Control 440CS/T-U includes a built-in passive crossover network, allowing it to function as part of a complete subwoofer-satellite speaker system.
