The JBL MTC-424NC is a professional new construction bracket designed to simplify the installation of JBL Control Series ceiling loudspeakers during the rough-in phase of construction. It provides a secure mounting framework that allows installers to accurately position speaker locations before drywall, sheetrock, or other finished ceiling materials are installed.

Compatible with the JBL Control 412C/T, Control 412C/T-VA, Control 414C/T, Control 414C/T-VA, and Control 424C/T ceiling loudspeakers, the MTC-424NC serves as an optional pre-installation accessory for projects requiring speaker placement to be established before ceiling finishing work begins.

Constructed from flat sheet metal with extended mounting wings, the bracket attaches directly to building support structures using nails or screws. The wings accommodate common framing spacings of 16 inches (406 mm) and 24 inches (610 mm) on-center, with provisions for custom mounting locations when required.

The MTC-424NC functions as both a speaker location reservation bracket and a cutout template. Once installed, it allows wiring to be secured behind the sheetrock and provides a guide for creating accurate ceiling cutouts during drywall installation. This makes it particularly useful in large projects where multiple speaker openings must be prepared consistently and efficiently.
