Description
The Radial Engineering Catapult TX4M 4-Channel Microphone Signal Transmitter is a professional Cat 5/6 audio snake interface designed specifically for transporting four channels of balanced microphone-level signals over long distances in live sound, broadcast, and studio environments.
Part of the Radial Catapult system, the TX4M converts mic-level analog audio into a format that can travel efficiently over a single shielded Cat 5, Cat 5e, or Cat 6 cable, significantly reducing stage cabling complexity while maintaining clean, low-noise signal integrity. At the receiving end, compatible Catapult receivers convert the signal back into standard microphone outputs for use at a mixing console or recording system.
Unlike line-level versions, the TX4M is optimized for microphone signals, using high-quality mic-level transformers and balanced circuitry to preserve detail, dynamics, and tonal accuracy over long cable runs. This ensures that even low-level signals remain stable and free from interference, hum, or RF noise.
The unit is built for rugged field use, featuring a durable metal chassis and professional-grade connectors designed to withstand the demands of touring, stage installations, and broadcast production. It provides a simple, reliable way to extend mic inputs from stage to FOH without bulky multicore cables.
