The Yamaha SBT-1208RB is a 12" × 8" rack tom from the Stage Custom Birch series, finished in a sleek Raven Black lacquer for a modern, professional look.

The shell is built from 6 plies of 100% birch, known for its bright, punchy attack, clear mids, and tight low end. Yamaha’s signature diagonal seam construction ensures a perfectly round shell, enhancing resonance and durability.

It features the Yamaha YESS (Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System) mounting system, which allows the shell to vibrate freely for longer sustain and clearer tone. The low-mass, separate lugs help preserve shell resonance and make tuning more precise and responsive.

The tom is equipped with steel triple-flanged hoops, which promote an open, lively tone and make tuning adjustments easy. Factory-fitted clear heads offer a versatile, dynamic sound that works well across multiple genres, from rock to jazz to pop.
