Its six‑ply, 100% birch shell produces a punchy attack with strong projection, crisp midrange, and a tight, controlled low end—perfect for genres ranging from rock to jazz.

Yamaha’s diagonal-seam construction ensures a consistently round shell with enhanced resonance. The tom is designed with Yamaha’s YESS (Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System) mounting system, which securely supports the drum while allowing full shell vibration for longer sustain and richer tone.
