Yamaha RBS-1455SFG Recording Custom Snare Drum is a 14" x 5.5" snare that embodies Yamaha’s renowned studio-ready sound, now in a stunning Surf Green finish. Crafted from 6-ply North American birch (6 mm thick), it delivers a crisp, articulate attack with warm mid-lows and exceptional clarity — perfect for both recording and live performances.

The drum features a 30° bearing edge with an R1.5 radius for quick response and easy tuning across a wide range. It is fitted with 1.6 mm triple-flanged steel hoops, allowing for open, resonant projection while retaining focus.

Yamaha’s one-piece lugs reduce shell contact and enhance sustain, while the robust Q-type strainer and DC3 butt plate enable smooth and reliable snare adjustments. The snare wires are 25-strand high-carbon steel, providing a sharp, sensitive snare articulation.
