BOSS Dr. Beat Professional Digital Metronome with Rhythm Coach, Drum Patterns, Reference Tone and MIDI Input (DB-90)
The BOSS DB-90 Dr. Beat is a professional digital metronome designed to provide musicians with advanced tools for developing timing, rhythm, accuracy, speed, and endurance. As the flagship model in the Dr. Beat series, it combines customizable metronome sounds, realistic drum patterns, a Rhythm Coach training system, reference tones, and multiple connectivity options in a single practice unit.
The Note Mixing function allows musicians to create customized rhythmic patterns by adjusting the levels of five different note values. The DB-90 also includes four metronome sounds, including a human voice count, along with realistic PCM drum patterns that provide a more musical way to practice timing and rhythmic feel.
The built-in Rhythm Coach provides four training modes designed to help improve playing accuracy, speed, and endurance. An onboard microphone can detect acoustic drums, while an optional Roland V-Pad can be connected to the trigger input for electronic drum practice. Guitarists and bassists can connect their instruments directly to the DB-90 and monitor their practice through headphones.
The DB-90 also includes a reference-tone function for checking tuning by ear, a footswitch connection for hands-free start and stop control, and MIDI input for synchronizing with external sequencers. Its large backlit LCD, dedicated controls, sliders, buttons, and rotary dial provide convenient access to settings during practice.
