The BOSS SL-2 Slicer Audio Pattern Processor transforms your guitar, bass, keyboard, or other audio source into rhythmic, percussive patterns. Inspired by the larger SL-20, the compact SL-2 delivers powerful slicing effects in a pedalboard-friendly design, allowing you to create everything from classic tremolo-style effects to complex rhythmic grooves and synth-like textures.

With 11 rhythmic patterns and five slicing types—Single, Dual, Tremolo, Harmonic, and SFX—the SL-2 offers plenty of creative options. You can control the tempo using the onboard knob or tap tempo function, while Balance, Attack, and Duty controls let you fine-tune the character and movement of each pattern.
