The BOSS ES-5 Effects Switching System is a compact programmable pedal switcher designed for guitarists and bassists who want advanced control over multiple effects pedals. Based on the concept of the larger ES-8, the ES-5 provides five effect loops, flexible signal routing, patch-based control, and extensive external control capabilities in a space-saving design suitable for standard pedalboards.

The ES-5 uses an analog circuit design to preserve the natural character of your instrument and effects while providing flexible control over the order of connected pedals. Its routing system allows you to change the signal path and create parallel effect chains, making it possible to build complex setups without physically rearranging your pedals.

Each patch can store external control settings, including parameters such as delay time. The input and output buffers can also be independently switched on or off and saved with individual patches, while output buffer levels can be adjusted to suit different setups.

With 200 patch memories, customizable footswitch assignments, a backlit LCD display, and reliable low-noise switching, the ES-5 provides practical control for both live performances and complex pedalboard configurations.
