The BOSS KATANA-50 EX Gen 3 is a 50-watt guitar amplifier combo designed for players who need powerful Katana tones and expanded features for live performance, recording, and practice. It features an upgraded custom 12-inch speaker that provides greater projection, resonance, and stage presence compared with the standard Katana-50 Gen 3.

Powered by BOSS Tube Logic technology and a responsive Class AB power amplifier, the KATANA-50 EX Gen 3 delivers expressive dynamics and tube-inspired sound and feel. It includes six amp characters, including the new Pushed character, with a selectable variation for each, providing 12 distinct tonal options for clean, crunch, lead, and high-gain playing.

The amplifier includes five built-in effects sections: Booster, Mod, FX, Delay, and Reverb. Each section provides three selectable variations, while BOSS Tone Studio gives access to more than 60 effects and deeper editing options. You can customize effect settings, change the effect order, adjust EQ, and organize sounds for different playing situations.

Four Tone Setting memories allow you to save and recall complete amp and effect setups. With an optional GA-FC or GA-FC EX Foot Controller, you can access additional Tone Settings, switch effects on and off, and control other functions hands-free during performances.

Power Control lets you achieve responsive, driven amplifier tones at lower volume levels. The KATANA-50 EX Gen 3 also features Line Out, USB-C, headphone output, Power Amp In, and Stereo Expand connectivity. Cabinet simulation and Air Feel settings provide polished direct tones for recording, headphones, and connection to a PA system.
