The DBX DI4 is a professional active direct box and line mixer designed for live sound, studio recording, touring, and portable audio applications. It features four independent DI channels that convert unbalanced signals into balanced outputs for seamless connection to mixers, PA systems, recording consoles, and other professional audio equipment. In addition to its direct box functionality, the DI4 operates as a multi-channel stereo line mixer, allowing multiple keyboards, samplers, sound modules, and other audio sources to be mixed into a stereo output while providing independent balanced XLR outputs for front-of-house and monitoring applications.
