Description

Elektron Analog Four MKII – 4-Voice Analog Synthesizer with Advanced Sequencing and Sound Design Engine

The Elektron Analog Four MKII is a powerful four-voice analog synthesizer that combines rich, organic analog sound generation with precise digital control and sequencing. Designed for studio production and live performance, it delivers a wide sonic range—from warm basses and expressive leads to experimental textures and complex soundscapes.

Pure Analog Sound Engine

Each of the four voices features a fully analog signal path, allowing for deep, character-rich sound creation. Every voice includes dual analog oscillators with multiple waveform options, sub-oscillators, noise generation, and oscillator sync capabilities. Sound shaping is further enhanced by a 4-pole ladder low-pass filter, a multimode filter, and analog overdrive, giving users full control over tone and texture.

Deep Modulation System

The Analog Four MKII offers extensive modulation possibilities with multiple envelopes and LFOs per voice. These include assignable LFOs, dedicated vibrato and waveform modulation sources, and various envelope types for shaping amplitude, filters, and pitch. This allows for highly dynamic and evolving sound design, from subtle movement to extreme modulation effects.

Integrated Sequencing Power

At its core is a powerful step sequencer featuring four synth tracks, one FX track, and one CV/Gate track. Each track supports up to 64 steps and independent timing and scale settings. Users can apply parameter locks, trig conditions, micro-timing, and probability-based triggers to create detailed and evolving sequences. Patterns can be arranged into full compositions using song mode, while real-time recording captures performance changes instantly.

Performance and Playability

The instrument supports both monophonic and polyphonic operation with flexible voice allocation. Performance macros allow up to eight multi-parameter control setups for real-time sound transformation. A dedicated performance knob enables quick access to these macros for expressive live manipulation. The OLED display ensures clear visibility in all environments.

External Control and Integration

Beyond synthesis, the Analog Four MKII functions as a powerful control hub for external gear. It supports MIDI output, CV/Gate sequencing, and DIN sync, making it ideal for integration with modular systems and vintage synthesizers. Individual voice outputs also allow for advanced studio routing and mixing flexibility.

Effects and Sound Processing

Each track can be enhanced with built-in effects including delay, reverb, and chorus. Combined with analog overdrive and filtering, these effects help shape everything from subtle ambience to intense sonic transformation.

Storage and Workflow

The system includes extensive storage for projects, patterns, kits, and sounds, along with a large internal sound library. Instant reload features allow safe experimentation, while factory content from sound designers provides immediate creative inspiration.
