Description

Elektron Analog Rytm MKII – 8-Voice Analog Drum Machine & Digital Sampler with Advanced Performance Sequencing

The Elektron Analog Rytm MKII is a powerful hybrid drum machine combining true analog synthesis with digital sampling and an advanced step sequencer, designed for both studio production and live performance. It delivers deep, punchy analog drum sounds alongside flexible sample manipulation, making it a complete rhythmic production workstation.

Powerful Analog Drum Engine

At its core, the Analog Rytm MKII features eight individual drum voices, each with a fully analog signal path. It offers a wide range of sound engines for crafting kicks, snares, toms, hi-hats, and more, all with rich analog character. Each voice includes a dedicated filter, envelope controls, overdrive, and LFO modulation, allowing deep sound shaping and expressive percussion design. A dual VCO-based engine also enables thick bass-style tones for added depth.

Integrated Digital Sampling

In addition to analog synthesis, each voice includes a digital sample layer. Users can easily record audio from external inputs, internal tracks, or main outputs. Samples can be trimmed, pitched, reversed, looped, or played one-shot, and then layered with analog sounds for complex hybrid textures. Resampling is fully supported, giving creative freedom for sound design experimentation.

Advanced Sound Shaping & Effects

Each track can be processed with analog filtering and distortion for added warmth and aggression. The master section includes analog compression and stereo distortion, while onboard digital effects such as reverb and delay enhance spatial depth. Multiple LFOs and modulation destinations allow dynamic, evolving sound manipulation.

Performance-Focused Design

The device features 12 velocity- and pressure-sensitive pads for expressive playing, chromatic performance, and live triggering. Performance macros allow multiple parameter changes to be controlled instantly, while scene switching and mute functions provide flexible live control. A bright OLED display ensures clear visibility in any environment.

Sophisticated Sequencing System

The built-in step sequencer supports up to 64 steps per pattern with per-track length and scale settings. It includes powerful features such as parameter locks, trig conditions, micro-timing, probability-based triggering, and real-time recording. Patterns can be combined into full songs using the integrated song mode, while Euclidean sequencing adds generative rhythm creation capabilities.

Storage and Workflow

The system supports extensive project and sound storage, including hundreds of patterns, kits, and sounds, plus large sample capacity via +Drive storage. Instant reload functions make experimentation safe and efficient, allowing users to explore ideas freely.

Connectivity and Hardware

The Analog Rytm MKII includes multiple audio outputs for individual drum voices, balanced main outputs, stereo headphone output, MIDI In/Out/Thru with DIN sync, USB 2.0 connectivity, CV/expression inputs, and analog audio inputs for external processing. It is built in a durable aluminum chassis designed for professional use.
