The Radial Engineering J+4 Balanced Signal Driver Stereo Preamplifier is a professional high-headroom line-level interface designed to convert and distribute audio signals at +4 dBu professional line level, ensuring clean, stable, and noise-free signal transmission in studio, live sound, broadcast, and installation environments.
The J+4 functions as an active stereo line driver, taking lower-level signals (such as -10 dBV consumer outputs or weak line sources) and boosting them to professional +4 dBu balanced level. This ensures proper gain staging when connecting consumer or semi-pro devices to professional mixing consoles, recording systems, or PA infrastructure.
A key feature of the J+4 is its high-headroom active circuitry, which preserves audio clarity even when handling dynamic or complex signals. This prevents distortion and maintains consistent tonal balance across the entire frequency range.
