Description
The Radial Engineering JS-2 Two-Way Microphone Signal Splitter is a professional passive, transformer-isolated mic splitting interface designed for live sound, broadcast, and studio applications where a single microphone signal must be sent to multiple destinations without noise, interference, or signal degradation.
Built for reliability in demanding environments, the JS-2 allows one microphone input to be split into three outputs: one direct output and two transformer-isolated outputs. This configuration enables clean signal distribution to multiple systems such as front-of-house consoles, monitor desks, recording devices, or broadcast feeds simultaneously.
At the heart of the JS-2 is a premium Jensen transformer, providing full electrical isolation on one output. This eliminates ground loops, hum, and buzz that commonly occur when sending microphone signals to multiple pieces of equipment powered from different sources. The additional direct output allows for flexible routing depending on system requirements.
As a fully passive device, the JS-2 requires no external power and delivers extremely transparent signal handling with minimal phase shift or tonal coloration. It preserves the natural character of the microphone while ensuring stable, noise-free distribution across all connected systems.
Key Features:
- 1-in / 3-out microphone signal splitter for live and studio use
- One direct output plus two transformer-isolated outputs
- High-quality Jensen transformer for superior isolation and noise rejection
- Eliminates ground loops and reduces hum in complex audio systems
- Fully passive design (no power required)
- Transparent signal path with minimal coloration or loss
- Ideal for FOH, monitor, broadcast, and recording splits
