Description
The Radial Engineering LX-3 Passive Line Splitter & Attenuator is a professional multi-output line-level signal distribution interface designed for studio, live sound, and broadcast applications where a single audio source must be cleanly split and routed to multiple destinations with full isolation and level control.
The LX-3 takes one balanced line-level input and provides three outputs: one direct output and two transformer-isolated outputs. This allows engineers to send the same signal simultaneously to devices such as front-of-house consoles, monitor systems, recording interfaces, or additional processing chains while maintaining complete electrical separation between outputs.
At the core of the LX-3 are Jensen isolation transformers, which deliver high-quality galvanic isolation on the two isolated outputs. This eliminates ground loops, hum, and unwanted electrical noise that can occur when connecting multiple audio systems powered from different sources, ensuring clean and stable signal distribution.
A built-in level attenuation (trim control) provides precise adjustment of the signal strength, allowing engineers to optimize gain staging, prevent clipping, and match levels across different devices in complex audio setups.
As a fully passive device, the LX-3 requires no external power and maintains a transparent signal path with minimal coloration, ensuring the original audio integrity is preserved across all outputs.
