Description
The Radial Engineering SGI-44 Studio Guitar Interface is a professional-grade balanced line driver and receiver system designed to solve one critical problem in guitar and bass setups: how to send clean, uncolored instrument signals over very long distances without noise or tone loss.
Built specifically for use with systems like the Radial JX-44, the SGI-44 allows guitar signals to travel up to 100 meters (300 feet) through standard XLR cables while maintaining full clarity and dynamics. It works by converting the high-impedance, unbalanced guitar signal into a low-impedance balanced signal for long-distance transmission, then converting it back at the receiving end. This ensures your tone stays intact even in complex stage or studio setups.
A key feature of the SGI-44 is its bi-directional send and receive capability, which makes it ideal for routing an entire effects loop across a stage or studio. This allows musicians to keep their pedalboard or amplifier setup far away without sacrificing signal quality or introducing hum and interference.
The unit also includes Radial’s Drag Control load correction, which lets you fine-tune the input impedance so your guitar pickups respond naturally, preserving the feel of a direct amp connection. Combined with its transformer-isolated, discrete class-A circuit design, the SGI-44 delivers extremely low noise and high fidelity signal transfer.
Key Features:
- Balanced long-haul send & receive guitar effects loop interface for JX-44
- Transmits guitar signal up to 100m (300ft) via standard XLR cables
- Bi-directional signal routing (send and return) for full effects loop extension
- Transformer-isolated, discrete class-A audio circuit for ultra-clean signal
- Drag Control for realistic pickup response and playing feel
- Designed for stage, touring, and professional studio environments
