Description

The Radial Engineering X-Amp Active Reamp Studio Reamper is a professional active re-amping interface designed for studio and live applications where precise control and flexible guitar signal routing are required.

Built around a high-quality Class-A active circuit with transformer isolation, the X-Amp converts balanced line-level signals from a DAW or audio interface into high-impedance, instrument-level signals suitable for driving guitar amplifiers, pedalboards, and effects chains. This allows engineers to send previously recorded DI tracks back through real guitar rigs, enabling detailed tone shaping after recording.

A major advantage of the X-Amp is its dual-output design, which lets a single reamped signal feed two separate amplifiers or pedal systems simultaneously. This opens up creative options such as blending amp tones, running wet/dry setups, or capturing multiple mic’d amp configurations in parallel.

Unlike passive reampers, the X-Amp is actively powered, providing increased headroom, stronger signal drive, and improved consistency across different amplifier loads. It also features precision level control, allowing exact adjustment of output strength to match different rigs, as well as a polarity reverse switch to correct phase issues when combining multiple amplifier sources.

Transformer isolation is built into the design to eliminate ground loops, hum, and unwanted noise when integrating computer-based recording systems with analog guitar equipment.

Key Features:

  • Active Class-A re-amping interface for studio and live use
  • Dual outputs for driving two amplifiers or pedal chains simultaneously
