The Roland CY-18DR is an 18-inch digital V-Cymbal ride pad designed to provide an exceptionally natural and expressive playing experience for electronic drummers. Its acoustic-style size and natural swing motion create a familiar feel, while advanced digital triggering captures detailed playing across the entire cymbal surface.

The high-resolution multi-sensor system detects playing from the edge through the bow and bell, accurately responding to both powerful strikes and delicate touches. Its fast digital connection transfers detailed performance information to compatible V-Drums sound modules for highly responsive and expressive sound generation.

The CY-18DR also features touch-sensitive muting, allowing the cymbal to be muted by simply touching the bow or bell with a finger or palm. This provides natural sound decay and supports techniques such as cymbal legato, soft bell playing, and acoustic-style chokes.
