The Roland MC-707 GROOVEBOX is a powerful standalone music workstation designed for electronic music production, sequencing, sampling, looping, and live performance without requiring a computer. Combining eight-track clip-based sequencing, advanced sound generation, audio recording, sampling, and extensive effects, the MC-707 provides a complete production environment for creating full tracks and performing dynamic live sets.

Powered by Roland’s ZEN-Core sound engine, the MC-707 includes thousands of built-in sounds covering drums, basses, leads, pads, keyboards, effects, and other electronic instruments. More than 80 preset drum kits provide a wide selection of ready-to-use rhythms, while the unit also allows musicians to record and import their own samples and loops.

The clip-based workflow provides eight independent tracks for arranging musical ideas, loops, sequences, and audio clips. Each track can contain up to 16 clips, allowing users to build complete songs or create flexible live arrangements by triggering different sections in real time. The 16 expressive pads provide hands-on control for playing drums, bass lines, melodies, chords, and triggering clips.

The MC-707 can also function as a central hub for an external hardware setup. Through MIDI sequencing, users can control external synthesizers and other MIDI instruments while capturing their sounds as audio clips. Audio can also be recorded through the microphone/line input and processed using the workstation's extensive effects.

With high-resolution audio recording, time-stretching, pitch-shifting, resampling, and a large collection of track and mastering effects, the MC-707 provides extensive tools for shaping and finishing productions. Projects and custom sounds can be stored on SD card media, making it easy to save and transport complete productions.
