The SP-404MKII provides a wide range of creative effects, including Lo-fi, Cassette Simulation, Resonator, Vocoder, Auto-Tune, and Guitar Amp Simulator. Its improved resampling workflow makes it easy to layer samples, patterns, and effects, while Skip Back Sampling captures up to 40 seconds of a performance so you can save ideas even when you forgot to record.

With USB-C connectivity, the sampler can sample audio directly from mobile devices and stream audio to them. It also supports the SP App for sample editing and project management. DJ Mode allows users to mix and manipulate two audio files, while pattern sequencing, Pad Link, and Roll functions provide flexible performance options.
