Its 13 highly responsive silicone pads provide natural velocity sensitivity and support advanced playing techniques, making it suitable for traditional hand percussion, drum performance, and modern electronic rhythms.

Powered by Roland’s SuperNATURAL sound engine, the HPD-20 includes 850 ready-to-play sounds covering percussion from around the world, drum kits, melodic instruments, orchestral sounds, and electronic tones. You can also import up to 500 of your own WAV samples through USB flash memory, allowing you to create personalized kits and performances.

The HPD-20 provides extensive sound-shaping capabilities with individual instrument editing, layering, tuning, and three independent multi-effects engines. The D-BEAM, Roll button, and Realtime Modify knob provide additional hands-on control for dynamically manipulating sounds and effects while performing. Built-in Quick Rec makes it easy to capture performances and musical ideas.
