Its updated custom DSP engine delivers 32-bit/48kHz sound quality with extremely precise tracking and no distracting latency. Guitar and bass can be connected using a standard 1/4-inch cable, while a Roland GK pickup provides the most precise pitch tracking and access to advanced per-string processing and modeling features.

At the heart of the SY-1000 is its Dynamic Synth engine, which responds to the natural volume envelope of your instrument for highly expressive synth performance. Two built-in 16-step sequencers can independently control pitch, filter, and amplitude, with multiple envelope curves available for creating subtle movement or dramatic evolving textures.

The SY-1000 also includes an OSC Synth based on classic analog synthesizer architecture and a detailed GR-300 synth engine that recreates the character of the iconic Roland GR-300 guitar synthesizer. Together, these engines cover everything from vintage synth tones and soaring leads to deep basses, atmospheric pads, and experimental textures.

Beyond synthesis, the SY-1000 provides advanced guitar and bass instrument modeling, allowing players to explore electric, acoustic, and bass guitar variations, alternate tunings, virtual amps, EQ, VIO Guitar, Poly FX, and other creative processing options. When used with a GK pickup, players can instantly access alternate tunings, drop tunings, open tunings, Nashville tuning, pitch-shifted tunings, and even 12-string guitar simulations without physically retuning their instrument.
