The BOSS RC-202 Loop Station is a compact tabletop looper designed for electronic musicians, beatboxers, DJs, club performers, and other creative musicians who want hands-on control over looping and effects. Based on the concept of the RC-505, it provides two stereo phrase tracks with dedicated controls and visual loop indicators for creating layered performances in real time.

The RC-202 includes four Input FX and four Track FX that can be used simultaneously. Input effects can be applied while recording, while Track FX provide DJ- and sampler-style processing during playback. Effects such as pitch shifting, lo-fi, ring modulation, beat, filtering, and slicing allow you to transform loops and create dynamic performances.

The unit provides 64 phrase memories organized into eight banks, with each memory capable of storing two phrase tracks along with effect and playback settings. Loops can be saved while playback continues, allowing you to capture and recall different arrangements without interrupting your performance.

The RC-202 supports a variety of audio sources through its XLR microphone input with phantom power, mono/stereo instrument inputs, and stereo auxiliary input. All inputs can be used together for flexible live looping setups. It also includes MIDI connectivity for synchronization and external control, along with USB connectivity for importing and exporting phrases, computer recording, DAW integration, and USB audio/MIDI functionality.
