The BOSS SY-1 Guitar Synthesizer Pedal brings a massive collection of expressive synthesizer sounds to your guitar or bass in a compact, easy-to-use stompbox. With 121 synth sounds, including leads, pads, basses, organs, and arpeggiated sequences, the SY-1 lets you explore a wide range of tones without requiring special pickups, additional hardware, or complicated programming.

The SY-1 features 11 synth types with 11 variations each, giving guitarists and bassists plenty of creative options for adding synth textures to performances, songwriting, and studio productions. Its advanced polyphonic pitch tracking provides responsive playability with no perceptible latency, allowing the synth sounds to follow your playing naturally.

Optimized for both guitar and bass, the SY-1 includes an instrument mode switch that adjusts pitch tracking for the connected instrument. The independent blend and volume controls allow you to combine your original guitar or bass tone with the synthesized sound, making it easy to create layered textures or keep the natural instrument sound prominent.

For additional flexibility, the SY-1 includes a parallel send/return loop for integrating external effects pedals. The loop can be mixed with the main synth output, allowing you to add modulation, delay, reverb, or other effects to create more complex sounds. The send can also be used as a direct output for routing the synth signal to a separate amplifier.
