With 162 ready-to-play professional sounds, the TM-2 covers acoustic drums, percussion, and modern electronic instruments. Many of the onboard sounds are specifically designed for layering with acoustic drums, helping create bigger, more powerful tones when playing through a PA system. The module also includes studio-quality multi-effects such as reverb, flanger, and delay, giving you additional control over the character of your sounds.

The TM-2 features two trigger inputs that support both single- and dual-trigger pads, making it compatible with a wide range of Roland trigger devices. Pair it with Roland RT-series acoustic drum triggers to enhance your kick, snare, or tom sounds, or add electronic pads such as the BT-1 Bar Trigger Pad and KT-10 Kick Trigger Pedal to expand your percussion capabilities.

For even greater flexibility, the TM-2 features an SDHC card slot for triggering your own WAV files. Load one-shot samples, loops, sound effects, or complete backing tracks and incorporate them directly into your custom kits. The module also includes MIDI I/O, allowing you to trigger external sound modules, record MIDI data, or control the TM-2 from other MIDI devices.
